One of our friends is moving out of Houston, and as a farewell gift we bought her daughter a couple of "Texan" books: Larry Gets Lost in Texas and this one. We found this cowgirl book to be great: it has cute, colorful drawings and a well written story. The book follows the story of a girl who wants a horse for her birthday, and gets a bicycle instead! There are several sentences that use "cowgirl slang", and overall we found the book quite funny.A great buy!

The end of the story confuses my two year old niece. (Spoiler: The little girl doesn't get a horse. She gets a bike.) She loves everything else about the book.

Cute book for a cowgirl! We bought this as a gift, and although it came damaged, they were quick to send a replacement. The little girl who received it loved it, so it makes a good gift!

This book is so cute! Great illustrations and whimsical story that it leaves you smiling. Catchy phrases too! Of course, "every cowgirl needs a horse!"

This book is about a little girl who gets a bike. It's not very cowgirlish, my girls got bored with it.

I gave this to my sister as a birthday present. She is well over 13 but loved it very much. Said it was a pretty cool book. Unfortunately, the first copy that was sent to her was pretty damaged and had to be returned, but she had the 2nd copy in her hands with just a couple of days. It was very easy to return the 1st copy, too.
